Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress, is known for playing the lead in many television shows as well as for her impressive performances in films. She is popular on both Canadian as well as American TV. Emily's passion for acting started at the age of 12 when, she went to visit her sister Katie who was shooting one of Katie's movies. When she discovered that acting was a passion, Emily began taking acting classes and auditions. The first commercials she auditioned for were however, she was eventually selected as a child actress in the Canadian television horror show Are You afraid of the dark? In one scene, she appeared without speaking even a single word. Her debut break came around the age of 15 when she got a role on the show on WB's Glory Days as a regular. Emily's appearance on Glory Days, a show on WB that was cancelled after nine episodes, attracted the attention and casting of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily is a photographer and ballerina was praised by Teen magazine as one of the best actresses younger than 20. She was ranked number 51 on the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
